Sea Cucumber

Achistrum welleri, a Pennsylvanian sea cucumber from the Francis Creek Shale Member of the Carbondale Formation, Pit 11, Illinois. Sea cucumbers are far less familiar than the locality's plants, which gives this specimen real cabinet interest. A worthwhile example for someone building a broader Mazon Creek assemblage.
