Ethiopian Borena Gourd Jug

This Ethiopian Borena gourd jug offers a similar vessel tradition as the chocho in a more intimate format. It could sit comfortably in a cabinet or a group display, particularly where scale and material variety matter.  The markings on this gourd 'appear' to have been branded/burnt in place.  A pleasing object for the collector who prefers quiet pieces over imposing ones.
